Robey Farms is a veteran owned and Family operated small farm near Nortonville, KS. We raise grass fed and grass finished beef, pastured pork, grass fed and grass finished lamb, pastured chicken and free-range chicken eggs and duck eggs. The meat we raise is what we feed our Family. Our goal is to provide communities with locally raised, locally butchered (at USDA inspected facilities), locally consumed meat that is ethically raised, never medicated, rotationally grazed on pasture, and fed locally raised grain (for the hogs and chicken). We raise Lowline Angus cattle that are raised until the age of 2 years before processing. Our hogs are a heritage breed called Berkshire, it has more of a red meat look (instead of light pink from other breeds) it is the best tasting pork that we have tried. Our sheep, are a hair sheep breed called Katahdin. Hair sheep are different than wool sheep in that they don’t need to be sheared, they shed their winter coat in the spring. This gives the lamb a light flavor and does not have the lanolin oil that affects the taste of wool sheep lamb. Our chicken is raised on pasture and rotated weekly. We raise our chicken for 12 weeks and utilize a breed that excels on pasture. Our chickens run around, hunt bugs, eat grass and tastes like real chicken.
