A New Event this Wednesday: Rachel Lanter, an intern with the Atchison County Extension Office and a K-State student, will guide children through the “Veggie Petting Zoo”. Kids will be able to look at, touch, measure, smell, taste, and make simple snacks from veggies from our market vendors. She will be at our market every other Wednesday through July (June 17, July 1, July 15, and July 29). We are so happy she will be at our market this summer!
Watch for the Thursday e-newsletter about our Market Launch of the double benefits for SNAP card users. The Atchison Art Association will be back with an marbled milk painting event for kids!
This Wednesday the following vendors plan to be at the market:
Onions, lettuce, spinach, eggs and possibly peas.
Green onions, radishes, kale, lettuce, sugar snap peas and new potatoes.
) Coffee beans and ground coffee. Light roast Guatemalan, Medium roast Ethiopian, and Dark roast Rwandan. Samples of Guatemalen coffee will be available. We can grind beans for you at the market so your coffee will be fresh.
(Monie Frakes) Tomatoes, grape tomatoes, beets, Swiss chard, peas, rhubarb, green onions, radishes, spinach, kale, collards, Spring blend lettuce, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, white turnips, collards, sweet potatoes.
