Atchison  Farmers’ MarketFresh, Friendly, LocalOpen through October 28Market E-Newsletter, Saturday, October 7, 20178 a.m.– noon Imagine you are in the middle of the huge (farmers' market) Viktualienmarkt in Munich this week. It is during the real Oktoberfest and the market is crowded with regular customers and visitors! Our market is (on a smaller scale) a farmers' market like the Viktualienmarkt! We have farmers/gardeners from the area bringing their beautiful, fresh produce, baked goods, eggs, jams, jellies, honey, and so much more to give you the opportunity to buy "local". We hope to see you Saturday between 8 a.m. and noon. There will be a First Responder demonstration in the 400 block parking lot on Main Street,  Stop by, when you come to our Market, to learn what they do and thank them for keeping us safe. The Market Manager, Debbie Genova, (green and white striped tent) can swipe your credit, debit or SNAP cards. We participate in the Double Up Food Program and the Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Buy your Farmers Market gift cards ($10) from Debbie and we accept Chamber of Commerce gift certificates. The last Bundle Give Away for the season will be given away at 10 a.m. to Carol Hink! You can support your Farmers' Market by buying a Plant a Carrot sign to put in your yard and/or "I love my Farmers Market" bumper sticker.
