Genova Farms Produce began our mission of providing fresh local produce to our community in 2000. What began as one 50 x 100 vegetable patch has grown to about four acres of vegetables spread over three locations. We currently utilize two season extending high tunnels that enable us to produce earlier summer season vegetables as well as our "green leafies" (lettuces, spinach, kale) during the winter season.

We grow a wide range of vegetables made up of sixty different vegetable varieties. We use conventional methods to grow our vegetables with no till and strip till being used as much as possible. We try to limit our use of pesticides and conventional fertilizer as they cost us time and money to use. Two things which we do not have in abundance! The four members of the Genova family, Mark, Debbie, Jessica, Jenna participate in the farms operations. Genova Farms Produce provides Debbie with a full time job and Mark and Jessica with a part time jobs in addition to their off farm employment.

We became a member of The Atchison Farmers Market in 2005. We greatly appreciate all our regular customers who have helped the market and our farm grow over the past years. We look forward to continuing to serve all our wonderful customers in the future.
