Come to the Market this Wednesday, September 2 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm to get mid-summer vegetables and your other mid-week needs. The local P.E.O. will be at the market on Wednesday and Saturday, selling raffle tickets on a Thirty-One tote that will be filled with various spa type products and gift cards.  Last year's tote was valued at more than $800.  The tote will be awarded to the lucky winner

. Be sure to come to the market on Saturday, September 5, for our “Sweetness of Fall – Apple Festival”! Bring your apple recipe and sample for the public judges; learn how to make apple hand pies from Susan Turnbull and Janean Bowen; bob for apples – and a new addition to our program, we will have a “junior chef,” Claire Harris, who will prepare an apple dish. Lots of fun! Last chance to register for the September 5 Market Bundle Give Away. Lynn Hoffman can help you. She also has cards with information about vegetables and recipes for you to try. SNAP (food stamp) users, double the amount you can purchase when you scan your card at the Market any market day.  If you scan for $5, you will get $10 of tokens; scan for $25, and get $50 of tokens. Lynn Hoffman can scan credit, debit, and SNAP cards. New this week: Decaf coffee. Coffee beans and ground coffee. Sumatran coffee from Indonesia. Light roast Guatemalan, Medium roast Ethiopian, and Dark roast Rwandan. Iced coffee will be available as well as samples of some coffee. We can grind beans for you at the market so your coffee will be fresh.
